(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/05/11 -- Members of the media are invited to join friends and family of the and his worship , to learn about innovative initiatives targeting vulnerable Calgarians, at the Alex's 2011 Annual General Meeting.
The meeting will take place Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Fort Calgary (750 - 9 Ave. S.E.). His worship Naheed Nenshi will speak at noon. Light refreshments will be served.

For nearly 40 years, the Alex has been a leader in healthcare delivery to at-risk, low-income, homeless and immigrant Calgarians-delivering accessible and lasting solutions to complex social issues. The Alex's cost-effective approach reduces strain on health and social programs by keeping people out of the justice system and away from emergency rooms and mental health facilities.
Approximately 130 guests will be in attendance, including board members, donors, partners, clients, staff and community stakeholders.
