With her beautiful song "Wrong to let you go", the Canadian singer Katherine St-Laurent hopes to be the one chosen to represent and lead Switzerland to victory in the next edition of the Song Contest taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan in May 2012. She is the only Canadian selected by French-speaking Switzerland competing to represent the country. A first round of voting is now taking place online until October 20, to determine which contestants will be part of the grand finale on December 10, 2011.
The last time Switzerland won the Eurovision Song Contest was in 1988, represented by a young Quebecer then little known in Europe, who went by the name of.... More than twenty years later, Katherine St-laurent is on her way to achieve the same feat. A truly talented artist with a promising future who has a young but remarkable career to prove it!
