Jan Frykhammar appointed CFO of Ericsson as of November 1, 2009
(Thomson Reuters ONE) - Ericsson's (NASDAQ:ERIC) in-coming CEO Hans Vestberg has appointedJan Frykhammar CFO of November 1, 2009. Frykhammar will also becomeExecutive Vice President as of January 1, 2010. Jan Frykhammar iscurrently head of business unit Global Services and Senior VicePresident.Jan Frykhammar joined Ericsson in 1991 after he had earned a Bachelorof Business Administration and a degree in Economics at theUniversity of Uppsala, Sweden. He has held various managerialpositions in Ericsson as well as with Ericsson Mobile Phones.Frykhammar was appointed Senior Vice President and head of businessunit Global Services as of January 1, 2008. He will remain as head ofbusiness unit Global Services until a successor has been appointed.Hans Vestberg says; "The search process has been thorough and I havemet a number of external as well as internal candidates, non-Swedesand Swedes. Jan Frykhammar has a documented experience of the telecomindustry as well as excellent managerial skills. He has also heldvarious positions in Ericsson and has a deep knowledge about ourbusiness. He is married and has three children.Hans Vestberg will take on the position as President and CEO as ofJanuary 1, 2010.
