Thomas Plocher is the new "Director Global Technology Development" at Bizerba
(firmenpresse) - Balingen, 30th September 2011 -– From 01 October 2011, Thomas Plocher will be employed as the "Director Global Technology Development" at Bizerba.
Bizerba has established the new executive department "Global Technology Development", with effect from 01.10.2011, in order to standardise technical procedures and processes in a global environment. Thomas Plocher will be "Director Global Technology Development".
"We introduced the department to optimise technical processes at Bizerba in such a way as to take advantage of synergy effects, to be able to reduce production and development costs and, above all, to further expand our role as a systems supplier," said Andreas Kraut, chairman of the management board. "We warmly welcome Mr Plocher into his new role and wish him much success in carrying out his future responsibilities."
Thomas Plocher studied electrical engineering from 1988 to 1993 at the Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences. The 44-year-old wrote his thesis whilst working at Bizerba and then worked on the development of test devices and industrial scales. From 1996 to 2000 he was employed at the technology company Memminger-Iro where he worked on the development of hardware and software and from 2000 to 2002 he was technical manager at Kundisch. In 2002, Plocher came back to BAG Bizerba Automotive, a subsidiary company of the Bizerba Group, where he became Vice President Operations in 2006 and then managing director in 2010.
