From the 13th to 15th October art fans will gather in London's Regent's Park for an incredible display of colour, space and movement from some of the world's most talented established and emerging artists
(firmenpresse) - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 10/12/11 -- This weekend sees part of Regent's Park transformed into an annual exhibition of contemporary art, the Frieze Art Fair. Featuring works from over 170 of the most contemporary galleries in the art world, talks from professionals and educational sessions led by artists, this event is set to be spectacular. Millennium & Copthorne Hotels offer fantastic accommodation within easy access of the exhibition, with hotels located in the fashionable districts of Mayfair, Chelsea, Knightsbridge, as well as three .
This year saw a huge number of applications and the exhibition will showcase exhibitors from over 1,000 of the world's most original artists and from 173 galleries. Every year there is a strong international influence and this year is no different, with 33 countries from around the world being represented.
The fair also captures art on film, in five newly commissioned art screenings and London based artists group, Lucky PDF, will present live daily broadcasts at the event. An outdoor sculpture park will again form part of the London exhibition this year and this park will be located a short walk from the main exhibition, in the English Gardens of Regent's Park. The sculpture park will be free to the public and will include works from all over the world.
The exhibition is suitable for all ages and children are invited to explore Octopus's Garden, with activity guides and art professionals on hand, while the family space will be fully kitted out with bean bags and art materials. Talks from professionals will include discussions about the problems of photographic representation, while conceptual artist, Daniel Buren, will offer an insight into the complex relationship between his work and the space in which it is presented. Appealing to everyone of any age, this event encapsulates the essence of creative talent.
