Yarmouth Animal Hospital Announces Pet Care Services
(firmenpresse) - YARMOUTH, ME -- (Marketwire) -- 10/12/11 -- Yarmouth Veterinary Center has announced that the practice provides routine veterinary care for dogs, cats, pocket pets and some exotics. Services include vaccinations, spay and neuter surgery, boarding for dogs and cats, pet grooming, emergency care and surgical care. The animal vet center serves the communities of Cumberland, Brunswick, Portland, Falmouth and Freeport.
Dr. Peter Smith, a veterinarian and co-founder of Yarmouth Veterinary Center, announced that the animal vet clinic provides comprehensive veterinary services for dogs, cats, pocket pets and some exotics, as well as for dogs and cats.
Founded over 25 years ago by veterinary team Dr. Louise LeBoeuf and Dr. Peter Smith, the animal hospital began as a small, house calls only clinic in the vets' home. The present-day vet center was constructed in 2000, along with an updated pet grooming salon and boarding kennel.
"While the vet equipment may no longer be in the middle of our living room, our animal hospital is still very much our home," said Dr. Smith. "We look forward to welcoming your dogs and cats into our home, whether they are here for a stay at our boarding facility or here for an annual wellness exam."
"We know that your pets are an important part of your family, and any time they visit our vet hospital, we treat them like family, too," said Dr. LeBoeuf. "We know that having to leave a pet at home for travel can be just as stressful for a pet owner as it is for the pet. Our compassionate veterinary team ensures that each pet feels right at home in our pet boarding facilities. And our grooming services ensure your pet looks as good as she feels!"
The provides routine veterinary care services, emergency care and surgical care. Wellness services include vaccination protocols and spay and neuter operations.
"Annual wellness exams with a veterinarian are important for all pets, especially smaller pocket pets, ferrets and rabbits," said Dr. Smith. "Since these pets often have a shorter lifespan, along with unique veterinary health needs, routine care helps ensure that problems are diagnosed early. For example, many ferrets suffer from adrenal gland disease and pancreatic tumors; the earlier we can detect these issues, the better care we are able to provide."
The clinic also offers a free wellness exam for all cats or dogs who were recently adopted from a humane society organization. Humane society adoptions also receive 50% off spay and neuter operations.
"We know that full vaccination protocols for puppies and kittens can be expensive," said Dr. Smith. "We provide discounted wellness care for recently adopted shelter animals, and hope this encourages potential pet owners to open their home to a pet in need."
