Newly Developed College Entrepreneurship Network to Be Released for Beta Testing
KickStart Media Is Releasing an Online Business Resource and Networking Platform for College Entrepreneurs and Startup Investors
(firmenpresse) - SAN DIEGO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/12/11 -- KickStart Media, an online network development firm, is soon releasing for beta testing a novel networking platform geared towards entrepreneurial college students. Beta testing is scheduled for November 2011, with a fully functional version of the network to be launched in first quarter 2012. The online networking site, coined "KickStart," will be accessible to U.S. college students and early-stage investors. KickStart will provide collaboration tools and networking features to foster and propel collegiate startup ambitions and enable students to connect or partner up with likeminded entrepreneurs. Student members will also be able to communicate and collaborate with investors through KickStart to glean advice and pursue funding opportunities. The network aims to build a bridge between the young entrepreneurial ambition found across America's college campuses and investors' start-up capital. KickStart will also offer students an online marketplace that will serve as a meeting hub through which student entrepreneurs can hire student freelancers or team up with one another to develop startup ideas.
The founders of KickStart envision an online community bustling with entrepreneurial spirit and fueled by startup funding opportunities. "There are so many out-of-the box thinkers in colleges and universities across the nation creating great business and product ideas that simply lack the tools and funding opportunities to truly excel," says Yannick Schindler, KickStart co-founder. "KickStart will provide a solution to that problem by bringing young entrepreneurs and investors closer together." KickStart will be free for use to registrants who provide a valid school email. Investor membership pricing tiers will be released in December.
