Teacher-Feedback Based Features Announced at EDUCAUSE Annual Conference 2011

These teacher-feedback driven features are scheduled to be released in late November. Along with this announcement, the Vice President of Business Development, Christopher Dawson, made more announcements about the development of a virtual classroom plug-in for Instructure's Canvas LMS, the availability of the 1 & 2 (alpha version) to select WizIQ members, and the development of a beta version.
Teachers and students will be able to interact without headsets on laptops and desktops that have a built-in microphone and speakers. Previously, noise-canceling headsets and microphones were required to prevent echo and feedback during virtual classroom sessions; with this enhancement, a major barrier to classroom use cases, as well as worry-free audio for all users, has been completely eliminated.
Flash-based screen sharing gives the presenter more flexibility and improved reliability. With this upgrade, presenters can not only share their desktop, but can even share a single window, or single application.
The present 4-way video will soon be enhanced to 6-way video conferencing.
The breakout room feature allows the presenter to divide participants into groups and place each group in their own virtual room. These breakout sessions can then be rejoined to the full class for wrapup or to present their work.
