Split Yield Corporation: Regular Quarterly Dividend for Class I Preferred Share
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 10/19/11 -- The Board of Directors of Split Yield declares regular quarterly distribution of $0.2750 for each Class I Preferred Share payable October 31, 2011 to shareholders of record on that date. Split Yield will suspend its dividend payment for the Class II Preferred Share for this quarter in order to preserve cash and to assist in rebuilding the net asset value in an attempt to meet its objectives in the longer term.
Since inception Class I Preferred shareholders have received a total of $14.89 per share inclusive of this dividend.
Split Yield Corporation is an actively managed mutual fund corporation that invests primarily in common shares of companies included in the S&P/TSX 60 Index and the S&P 100 Index. To generate additional returns above the dividend income earned in the portfolio, the Corporation will from time to time write covered call options in respect to all or part of the common shares in the portfolio.
