Alfonso and her team have identified four key looks that are defining 2011 fall fashion.
: "We're seeing luxe outerwear at varying lengths," Alfonso said, "and these pieces are being grounded by great boots and booties." No matter where you travel, you're sure to leave stylish footprints behind, Alfonso says.
: "This look is a throw-back to the '60s, with mod-inspired dresses in graphic prints and rainbow brights," Alfonso says. "It's definitely attention-grabbing and will dominate the style blogs. I personally love it because it dares you to be fun and creative."
: Polished pieces are fall's office staples this year, Alfonso says. "Nine-to-five takes on a little more elegance this season with sheath dresses, heeled loafers, and bold jackets."
: There is sophistication to both daytime and evening wear this season, Alfonso says. "We've got polished outfits and embellished pieces defining daytime dressing and this look is being adapted, being taken one step further in evening wear with crushed, shiny fabrics and sparkling beadwork. And then there are the shoes. Sky-high heels complete the transition from daytime to evening dressing."
