Zug, Switzerland, 21 October 2011, – The Ukrainian subsidiary of Man Oil Group AG, Man Oil Group Ukraine Ltd., has completed preparatory works to commence a long-term project at the Lisichansk oil refinery, a 100% asset of TNK-BP.
Man Oil Group Ukraine has fulfilled all the necessary legal procedures such as submission of construction documentation, finalising the roadmap for the construction site and signing the lease agreement for placement of STORM-15 in order to perform construction works in Lisichansk. In addition, the Ministry of Nature of Ukraine conducted an environmental review of technological processes employed by Man Oil Group Ukraine Ltd and issued the official endorsement of the company’s technology.
In accordance with the project timeline, the manufacturer of the STORM-15 machinery complex, JSC Turbogaz, is commencing delivery of the equipment to Man Oil Group's site in Lisichansk.
The cutting-edge machinery complex STORM-15 (Special Treatment Oil Recovery Machine) to which Man Oil Group AG holds the IP rights, was developed jointly by the company’s engineersand Turbogaz’s scientific centre. The plant STORM-15 is to be installed to process substandard oil products onsite and separate it into tradable hydrocarbon mixture, solids and water. At present, the platform for STORM-15 is being mounted in Lisichansk.
The Lisichansk refinery is the main asset of TNK-BP’s international holding in Ukraine. The plant can process about 8 million tons of crude oil annually.
On 1 August 2011 the President of Man Oil Group AG, Genadi Man, signed a contract with TNK-BP refinery in Lisichansk (CHAO LINIK) with a first project stage value of more than USD 9 mln. The total project volume is currently estimated at approx. USD 30mn.
