SAN DIEGO, CA -- October 21, 2011 -- announced today the hire of Bruce Lowder as vice president of finance. With over 30 years of financial and operational experience, Lowder's past work experience includes general manager and executive operations positions at casinos across the nation.
At Barona, Lowder will oversee financial operations for the casino including assisting in developing Barona's financial management strategy and providing leadership for diverse work groups. Lowder is also charged with analyzing business processes and implementing changes to enhance operational efficiency.

Prior to joining Barona Resort & Casino, Lowder worked at a variety of casino properties including President Riverboat Casino/Gateway Riverboat Cruises, Ameristar Casino Kansas City and Bullwhackers Casino in Colorado. He gained extensive knowledge of all aspects of casino operations having overseen casino departments including slots, table games, food and beverage, finance, housekeeping and facilities.
Lowder earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana State University and received his CPA certificate in 1983. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the national professional organization of Certified Public Accountants.
