INDUS Holding AG continues acquisition spree
New acquisitions strengthen the portfolio
Bergisch Gladbach, October 24, 2011 - HORN GmbH&Co. KG, one of the oldest
INDUS investments, has acquired Pneumatic Components Limited (PCL),
Sheffield, UK, with effect from October 1. PCL is the global market leader
in analogue and digital tyre inflation systems and related activities.
Besides the Sheffield headquarters, the company maintains branches in the
USA, India and China. PCL, which employs roughly 120 people, projects sales
revenues of EUR 12.0 million for 2011. The most recent owner had acquired
the company in 1996.
With effect from November 1, HORN will additionally acquire the tank truck
metering division of Hectronic GmbH, Bonndorf, Germany. The division
develops and produces systems for the calibrated, temperature-compensated
dispense of liquid substances from tank trucks. Going forward, both units
will be managed under the HORN umbrella headquartered in Flensburg. The
Sheffield location will be retained. PCL and HORN ideally complement each
other in terms of product ranges, market presentation and market access.
Considerable potential also exists with regard to development, purchasing
and product optimisation.
In the context of its acquisition strategy, in summer INDUS has already
acquired Designstudio Pollmann (complements the KIEBACK-SCHÄFER Group) and
plant manufacturer RI MAC (complements SEMET GmbH). Overall, the Group has
made acquisitions with a total sales volume in excess of EUR 20 million.
The declared aim of the acquisitions is to strategically expand the
portfolio and to generate additional growth from it.
