Symrise selects two new Executive Committee members

Hesucceeds Dr. Heinz-Jürgen Bertram in this role who has been servingas Chief Executive Officer of Symrise since July 1, 2009 whilesimultaneously managing the division for an interim period.Furthermore, Chief Financial Officer Dominique Yates will leave theGroup at his own request and in good understanding effective December31, 2009. His successor as Chief Financial Officer has already beenchosen.Hans Holger Gliewe (50) has been with the Group since 1980, initiallywith the predecessor company Haarmann & Reimer and since 2002 withthe newly created Symrise. During the last 20 years the manager, whois fluent in five languages, has primarily held leadership positionsabroad. He also worked for several years in a global function atSymrise headquarters in Germany. Since 2007 Gliewe has been in chargeof the entire Flavor & Nutrition business in Latin America, which hasbeen the fastest growing region worldwide of the division for years.From Sao Paulo, Brazil, Gliewe currently runs six productioncompanies located in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico andVenezuela. Among others he was most recently involved in creating theGlobal Citrus Center of Symrise in Brazil, an entity which plays acentral role in the Group's citrus strategy.Andreas Schmid, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Symrise AG,said: "In the past years Hans Holger Gliewe has contributedsignificantly to the dynamic expansion of the Flavor & Nutritiondivision.
