Northcore Resources Completes Airborne Survey on BC Rare Earth Properties
(firmenpresse) - MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 10/24/11 -- Northcore Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: NCR) is pleased to announce that Aeroquest International Ltd. has completed the previously announced, multiple large-scale helicopter-borne geophysical survey on Northcore Resources' four BC Rare Earth Elements properties.
The South-East Cap, North Cap, MagAnomally 1 and South Seebach rare earth element and rare metal properties are all located within the immediate vicinity of Spectrum Mining Corp.'s Wicheeda rare earth element discovery, as well as the Carbo project which has recently been drilled by Canadian International Minerals Inc. The group of claims are located 80 kilometres northeast of Prince George and together comprise approximately 8,055 hectares.
The helicopter-borne AeroMAG magnetic gradient and radiometric survey consisted of approximately 635 line kilometres on the four properties with flight lines flown at 45 degrees azimuth, perpendicular to the regional geologic trend. The entire properties were flown to provide magnetic, electromagnetic and radiometric data prior to commencement of fieldwork. Preliminary results of the survey will be analyzed shortly to identify potential radiometric anomalies.
The company anticipates commencing the next phase of exploration, which will include follow-up of preliminary geophysical targets, reconnaissance mapping and geochemical sampling.
The Company is also please to announce that it has settled all outstanding issues with the Ontario Securities Commission ('OSC') and is no longer considered as a delinquent filer with the OSC.
