Apartment List Finds That Watching "Dancing with the Stars" Could Predict Your Next Apartment
Apartment Hunters Answered 100,000 Predictive Questions in the Apartment Matching Engine's First 30 Days: "Do You Watch Dancing with the Stars?" Is the Most Insightful

The company also noted that apartment seekers have answered more than 100,000 predictive questions in total since the site's launch on September 12th.
Apartment List's matching engine uses entertaining and insightful questions in combination with a user's Facebook profile to identify the best possible apartment matches from an ever-growing database of 1.8 million . Apartment List recommends that apartment hunters use their Facebook login and answer at least 10 questions to in order to find their best apartment matches.
"Perhaps it is telling that in 2011 a question about reality television is the fastest way to accurately rank a list of millions of apartments to find those that best match someone's personal tastes," said Apartment List CEO and co-founder John Kobs. The Apartment List matching engine identifies the most predictive questions by tracking if a user views a recommended listing, adds it to his/her preferred list, or contacts the rental owner. In this way, it was determined that "Do you watch Dancing with the Stars?" is the fastest and most effective way to predict a user's apartment matches. Other questions asked by the matching engine include: "Do you have money in the stock market?" and "What would be your super power?"
