Sale of Distribution business closed as scheduled
- EU Commission approved the acquisition by Tech Data
- Transition to a VAR business in Europe is now starting
Wessling, October 28, 2011 - Mensch und Maschine Software SE (MUM - ISIN
DE0006580806), a CAD/CAM specialist company, has closed the sale of its
complete Distribution business to the Tech Data group (NASDAQ: TECD) as
scheduled before the end of October, after the EU Commission had given
green light.
The planned transition to a VAR business in France, Italy, UK, Belgium,
Poland and Romania (,Market Offensive II'), following the successful model
started at the beginning of 2009 in the German speaking countries, can now
be initiated. There is high interest from potential acquisition candidates
among the former reselling partners, so M+M is thinking that the EUR 30-40
million sales target for the new segment ,VAR Europe' in 2012 is clearly
achievable.
