- ÅF now has 200 co-workers in the Czech Republic
ÅF has acquired 100 percent of the shares in the Czech technical consulting
company, CityPlan. The Prague-based company, which was established in 1992 and
works mainly with infrastructure consulting, has approximately 70 members of
staff.
CityPlan's consultants are first and foremost specialists in the fields of
Energy and Environment, Transport and Infrastructure Security. One third of the
company's earnings are generated by public investments in infrastructure.
CityPlan frequently supports clients from the pre-study stage of a project
through project engineering to final implementation and construction.
Estimates suggest that CityPlan's full-year sales for 2011 will total the
equivalent of SEK 30 million (approx. ? 3.3 million). The company's operating
margin has averaged approximately 12 percent over the past 10 years.
The basic purchase price that has been agreed is SEK 15 million, together with
an additional consideration to be based on the company's operating profit for
the period 2011-2013.
As a result of the acquisition of CityPlan ÅF will now have a total of 200
consultants in the Czech Republic. This makes ÅF one of the country's leading
technical consulting companies. CityPlan will be organised as part of ÅF's
Infrastructure Division, where it is anticipated that the synergies will be
greatest. Other operations in the Czech Republic are organised under the Energy
Division.
