Basware changes organization to accelerate strategy implementation

Basware Corporation will renew its organization and as of January 1, 2012
operations are based on global functions. The new operational structure allows
the company to execute the strategy more efficiently, to clarify operations and
utilize growth potential on the markets.
As of January 1, 2011 Basware's operations will be divided into two offerings -
Automation Services and Products. These are also Basware's official reporting
segments starting January 1, 2012.
All function heads mentioned below are members of the Basware Executive Team and
report to CEO Esa Tihilä.
Functions with customer responsibilities:
Marketing function consists of global and product marketing. SVP Steve Muddiman
continues in his present role.
Enterprise Sales focuses on large customers and is headed by SVP Jukka
Virkkunen. Jukka Virkkunen is presently responsible for region Scandinavia.
Volume Sales focuses on small and medium-sized customers and is headed by SVP
Pekka Lindfors. Pekka Lindfors is presently responsible for region Northeast.
Support function is headed by SVP Matti Rusi who is presently responsible for
region Europe.
Offering functions:
Automation Services is led by SVP Riku Roos. Presently he holds the position of
VP, Automation Services, Sales.
Products function is led by SVP Jorma Kemppainen as earlier.
Corporate functions:
Finance and administration function consists of Business Control, IT, Legal and
Financial Shared Service Center operations. SVP Mika Harjuaho continues in the
head.
HR function is led by SVP Mari Heusala. Presently she holds the position of VP,
HR.
Strategy Office is led by SVP Matti Copeland. Strategic planning, M&A, Investor
Relations, Corporate Communications and Quality operations belong to this
function. Matti Copeland is presently responsible for M&A and IR.
