Christian Rynning-Tønnesen resigns as CEO of Norske Skog, becomes new
head of Statkraft
(Thomson Reuters ONE) - Christian Rynning-Tønnesen has informed the board of directors ofNorske Skog that he will resign his position as CEO. He has beenappointed CEO of Statkraft from 1 June 2010. He continues as CEO ofNorske Skog until further notice."I regret that Christian Rynning-Tønnesen will be leaving NorskeSkog. He has made an outstanding effort as CEO in what has been avery demanding period for the group. The board will meet shortly tobegin the process of recruiting his successor," says Eivind Reiten,chairman of the board.Christian Rynning-Tønnesen was hired by Norske Skog early 2005 as CFOand was appointed CEO in June 2006. Under his leadership, Norske Skoghas implemented comprehensive measures to reduce debt and improve thegroup's cost position."I have had an exciting period with Norske Skog, working with acompetent and tenacious organisation that has worked hard tostrengthen the company in a difficult market.
