Düsseldorf, November 03, 2011 - Today, getgoods.de AG, a leading operator
of online platforms for IT and telecommunication products, opens up its new
distribution center with a floor area of approximately 3,000 sqm in
Frankfurt/Oder. With this expansion of capacity at a total investment
volume of EUR 1.3 million, getgoods.de AG has laid a sound basis for its
further growth and for handling the dynamically increasing customer demand.
Following the 150% revenue growth in the first half-year 2011 as well as
continuous records in parcel shipments, the new distribution center
provides getgoods.de AG with the necessary capacity to handle the expected
customer rush in the Christmas season. In the normal two-shift operation
the distribution center has an output of 25,000 parcels per day, which can
be increased to even 40,000 parcels per day in a three-shift operation.
Moreover, with the new distribution center getgoods.de AG is also creating
a considerable number of new jobs in the Frankfurt/Oder region.
The grand opening of the distribution center by the Premier of the state of
Brandenburg, Mr. Matthias Platzeck, will take place on Thursday, November
03, 2011.
