The Ministry selected Teleran's compliance software solution because it delivers detailed real-time auditing and sophisticated analysis of access to sensitive data. In addition, Teleran's network-based solution offered the Ministry fast deployment without costly customizations.
The Austrian Ministry of the Interior manages a diverse portfolio of critical tasks from fighting crime, terrorism, and corruption to addressing immigration, asylum, civil protection and airport security. Because of its broad mandate and the sensitive nature of the data it handles, the Ministry is required by federal compliance laws to monitor and maintain detailed records of every query accessing over 50 classifications of sensitive data on a highly secure IBM DB2 data warehouse on an IBM System z mainframe.
