Energistics Announces Leadership Transition
(firmenpresse) - HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 11/07/11 -- The Energistics Board of Directors announced today that Randy W. Clark, President and CEO, will step down from that position to pursue other opportunities and that Jerry Hubbard, Energistics' Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed the new President and Chief Executive Officer. The transition will be effective on December 1, 2011.
"The Energistics Community has truly benefited from Randy's passion for improving the flow of data and information in the upstream oil and gas industry through the use of technical open data exchange standards," said Cindy Reece, Upstream Technical Computing Manager at ExxonMobil, and Chair of Energistics' Board of Directors. Clark said, "The opportunity to lead an organization of people who are as remarkable as its ambitious mission has been challenging, energizing and enormously rewarding. I'm proud of our accomplishments, which are a tribute to the passion for excellence, collaborative spirit and insistence on results by the Energistics community. Having completed the mission the Board gave me in 2006, the time is right for me to move on to new opportunities as well as new leadership for the organization.
Hubbard brings over 30 years of industry experience to his new position including 10 years in facilitating the development and adoption of industry standards. During his five year tenure with Energistics, serving first as its Executive Vice President, Business Development and then as the Chief Operating Officer, he has nearly doubled the number of corporate memberships, built an active global community of users and participants and streamlined operations.
Reece added, "Jerry's leadership will ensure that we will not lose a step in our momentum towards global adoption of the Energistics technical open data exchange standards portfolio. He brings a wealth of collaboration experience and a deep understanding of the standards development and adoption process that will allow Energistics to achieve our next level of success."
