San Diego's Bartell Hotels Announce Holiday Food Drive Program; Room Night Rates Reduced by Donation Amount and Matched by Bartell Hotels
(firmenpresse) - SAN DIEGO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/10/11 -- San Diego's Bartell Hotels () announced a partnership with the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank () to raise funds during the upcoming holiday season. Guests will have the opportunity to make a donation to the Food Bank. Bartell Hotels will reduce their hotel room night rates by the donation amount and then also match the guest donations dollar for dollar between November 13 and December 26.
Bartell Hotels owns and operates seven premier hotel properties in San Diego and the maximum matchable donation per room night will vary. For example, at the Days Hotel-Hotel Circle/Seaworld in Mission Valley the maximum matchable rate is $15/night. At the Dana on Mission Bay, the Best Western Island Palms Hotel, Humphreys Half Moon Inn, Sheraton La Jolla and Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside, the maximum matchable rate is $20/night. And at the Pacific Terrace in Pacific Beach, it's $30/night.
According to Richard Bartell, president of Bartell Hotels, "We are committed to raising money for the Jacobs and Cushman San Diego Food Bank. By offering our guests the opportunity to receive discounted room rates based on their donation and then matching their donation, we're doubling the contribution to the Food Bank."
"It's amazing to see how much good can be done. For example, for every dollar donated, the Food Bank can provide 3 meals. The number of families and children facing hunger every day in our community is staggering. The Food Bank feeds over 350,000 people every month -- that's 10% of our population," added Bartell.
The matching grant from Bartell is valid only with reservations made at the package rates. Guests will also receive a complimentary upgrade at the time of check-in based on availability. Guests must provide proof of online donation at time of check-in to qualify. Guests can also donate online at "Bartell Hotels Fights Hunger" .
