(Thomson Reuters ONE) - The Supervisory Board of Van Lanschot NV intends to appoint Mr A.J.(Arjan) Huisman (38) as Chief Operating Officer and member of theBoard of Managing Directors of Van Lanschot NV / F. van LanschotBankiers NV. The announcement of his appointment will be included onthe agenda of the General Meeting of Shareholders of Van Lanschot NV.As Chief Operating Officer at Van Lanschot, Arjan Huisman will beresponsible for managing the Operations and IT activities.Arjan Huisman has worked at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) since1995, and in the past five years as Partner and Managing Director.The Supervisory Board intends to appoint Arjan Huisman as a member ofthe Board of Managing Directors for a period of four years. Thisappointment is subject to the approval of De Nederlandsche Bank (theDutch Central Bank). His employment contract will be concluded for anindefinite period.The employment contract will include a clause concerning severancepay which will comply with the provisions of the Dutch CorporateGovernance Code and the Code for Banks. The employment contract is inline with the current remuneration policy for members of the Board ofManaging Directors that was approved by shareholders at the GeneralMeeting of Shareholders held on 8 May 2008. The bank's remunerationpolicy, including that for members of the Board of ManagingDirectors, is being revised to take account of the provisions of theCode for Banks and the good practices announced by the Dutch CentralBank on 14 September. The new remuneration policy will be presentedto the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders to be held on 6 May2010.Following the appointment of Arjan Huisman to the Board of ManagingDirectors of Van Lanschot NV / F. van Lanschot Bankiers NV, the Boardof Managing Directors will comprise the following members:- Mr F.G.H. (Floris) Deckers, chairman- Mr A.J. (Arjan) Huisman- Mr I.A. (Ieko) SevingaCurriculum vitae Arjan HuismanArjan Huisman was born on 21 April 1971 in Opperdoes, theNetherlands. After graduating in Business Economics at the ErasmusUniversity in Rotterdam, he started his career in 1995 as a businessadviser with BCG in the Netherlands. From 1998 to 2000 he was basedin BCG's office in Boston in the US. He was appointed partner andManaging Director at the end of 2004. From 2004 to 2007 he managedBCG's office in Prague. His base since 2008 has been the Netherlands.During his career at BCG, Arjan Huisman has primarily served clientsoperating in the financial sector.
