Lindab simplifies energy-efficiency refurbishment

(Thomson Reuters ONE) -

The majority of apartments in the so-called Million Programme, i.e. the
approximately one million flats that were built in Sweden between 1965 and
1975, are now in urgent need of refurbishment and improved energy-efficiency.
Energy efficient ventilation is a key part of this work. Lindab has developed
InCapsa, a smart all-in-one solution where the ventilation installer performs
the entire job, both the installation and the decorative covering of the duct
systems.

Lindab's patent-pending refurbishment system, InCapsa, consisting of Lindab's
renowned duct systems and discreet covering in white-lacquered steel, has been
tested during the autumn with very good results. The system has many advantages
compared with traditional duct coverings. The tests have shown that it is five
times faster to install than traditional methods. The work can be undertaken by
a single professional and the work is completed in one go, meaning that there is
no need for tenants to move out while the work is taking place.

Business Area Manager for Ventilation, Nils-Johan Andersson, comments:
"It is becoming increasingly important to build tight and ventilate right, in
order to comply with EU-directives regarding energy-efficiency in buildings. We
are continuously striving to simplify processes for our customers and InCapsa is
an excellent example of this. The InCapsa system means that the ventilation
installer has the full responsibility to make an aesthetic and energy-efficient
ventilation installation, which benefits all parties."

"InCapsa is the result of customer-focused innovation to simplify construction
for property owners and ventilations installers, while at the same time we are
contributing to a more energy-efficient building stock."
