Harmony Appoints Vice President of Exploration

(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/24/11 -- Harmony Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE: H) (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Gennen McDowall B.Sc. as its Vice President of Exploration.

Mr. Gennen McDowall is a geophysicist and holds a first class honours B.Sc. in Geophysics from the University of British Columbia. He has worked for various major and junior mining companies since 1974, focused on the exploration for precious metals, uranium, diamonds and base metals, including General Mining Corporation and Anglo American Corporation as senior geophysicist in the company's gold division. Until June 2008 he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Xemplar Energy Corp. He is currently the Non-Executive Chairman of Goldstone Resources Limited, an AIM listed exploration company exploring for gold in West Africa.
