Brussels, November 28, 2011 - Today, at the end of an auction process, Mobistar
has bought a 4G licence in the 2.6 GHz band for 20.02 million euros. This
licence acquisition is part of Mobistar's global strategy to deploy the new LTE
(Long Term Evolution) technology in Belgium, initiated in April 2010. With this
strategy, Mobistar will be ready for the spectacular mobile Internet growth
expected over the years to come, while keeping investment levels under control:
with this new licence, Mobistar will have a cutting-edge network ready to meet a
50% annual increase in mobile data traffic until 2025.
