Kemira closes the Maitland hydrogen peroxide plant deal

Kemira Oyj has on November 30, 2011 closed the Maitland deal announced on
October 27, 2011. Kemira sold its Canadian hydrogen peroxide unit in Maitland to
Evonik. The transaction does not have any significant impact on Kemira's
financial figures, and the parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction
price. The transaction will have some positive impact on Kemira's net profit in
the fourth quarter of 2011.
