CH2M HILL Awarded EPC Contract for 738 MW New Jersey Power Plant
(firmenpresse) - DENVER, CO -- (Marketwire) -- 12/01/11 -- CH2M HILL (), a global full-service consulting, design, construction, and operations firm, has been awarded an engineer, procure, construct contract for a 738 megawatt combined cycle power plant project in West Deptford Township, New Jersey.
The natural gas-fired facility will produce enough power for approximately 600,000 homes, and will be designed to meet stringent air and noise emissions requirements. When complete, the West Deptford Energy Station will be one of the cleanest and most efficient electricity generating facilities in the state.

CH2M HILL's EPC contract for the energy station includes all site and civil work, the supply and installation of two advanced technology Siemens SGT6-5000F combustion turbine generator units, two heat recovery steam generators, one steam turbine generator, and complete balance of plant, including commissioning and startup. A 230 kV electrical switchyard will also be provided. Gray water supplied from the adjacent Gloucester County Utility Authority sewage treatment plant will be further treated onsite to produce the water quality required for use in the power plant.
CH2M HILL has received a full release to proceed and construction will begin in early 2012 with commercial operations targeted for 2014.
