Fort Worth, TX Hotel Offers Room in the Inn Program to Give Away Free Rooms on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve

The hotel has a history of giving back to the community. This past summer, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Fort Worth University Drive began renovations to its guest lodging, and used the opportunity to donate its used furniture to Catholic Charities Fort Worth. The hotel started with just 30 televisions before reaching out to sister hotels and raising furniture donations valued at more than $150,000. The donation was driven by David Moran, general manager at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Fort Worth University Drive. "I knew what the organization did," he says, "and this was just the right time for us to do our part." Donated items included dressers, nightstands, beds, couches, coffee tables, lamps, chairs, dinette tables and end tables -- all of which found a second life in the apartment of families in need.
