NEC Corporation (Thailand) Appoints New President
(firmenpresse) - BANGKOK, THAILAND -- (Marketwire) -- 12/06/11 -- announced today the appointment of Hitoshi Sato as its new President. Mr. Sato replaces Shin Sakamoto, who was the President since April 2009.
With more than 25 years of experience in NEC and of the global IT industry, Mr. Sato brings with him a wealth of IT expertise to Thailand. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Sato was the Deputy General Manager, Greater China and Asia Pacific Sales Division at International Sales and Operations Business Unit in NEC Corporation in Japan, where he was responsible for driving the growth of NEC's ICT business in the APAC region.
A veteran who is familiar with the IT market in Asia, Mr. Sato was also previously based in Indonesia, where he headed the business operations in PT NEC Indonesia as its President Director.
Mr. Sato said, "Thailand is one of the up and coming countries in Asia, where there are many promising opportunities and developments for businesses and companies. I hope to share my experience from NEC and in other Asian countries, to further promote and expand NEC's businesses and brand in Thailand to customers who can benefit from NEC's technologies."
Mr. Sakamoto returns to Japan to helm the Greater China and Asia Pacific Sales Division at International Sales and Operations Business Unit in NEC Corporation.
