Veidekke to build two office buildings for Thon in Oslo
(Thomson Reuters ONE) - Veidekke Entreprenør AS has been awarded contracts to build two newoffice buildings in the centre of Oslo (Pilestredet 56 andRosenkrantz gate 16-18). The client is the Olav Thon Gruppenrepresented by Thongård AS and Olav Thon Eiendomsselskap ASA.Covering 17,000 sqm in all, the buildings are turnkey projects. Totalvalue of the contracts is NOK 209 million excluding VAT.The project in Pilestredet 56 is an 8,800 m2 office building with sixstoreys and two basement storeys. The building will beconstructed in situ concrete with facades of plaster and glass. Workhas already started and will be completed in August 2010.The project in Rosenkrantz gate 16-18 is an 8,000 m2 office buildingwith seven storeys and two basement storeys. The building will beconstructed in situ concrete with facades of concrete and glass. Alevel U1 to level 7 atrium will be built and enclosed by a glass roofbuilt over level 7.
