During the initial pipe creation process, each pipe is given a lining and coating as a means of preventing any damage whilst a pipe is in service. Service damage can be common within pipe networks, particularly those that are buried underground in rough terrain, or indeed those transporting chemically volatile materials.
FT Pipeline Systems has indicated that pipe lining and coating is always a core aspect of their pipe building process, with multiple types of lining and coating available for myriad different pipe network scenarios.
