He will report to CEO JuhaRantanen and will succeed Mr. Bo Annvik who has headed the Group'sSales and Marketing function on a temporary basis since February 2009in addition to his permanent duties as EVP - Specialty Stainless. Mr.Parvento will be based initially in the Group head office in Finlandbut will relocate to the Group Sales and Marketing head office inBrussels during 2010.Mr. Parvento is a Finnish citizen, born 1957 and holds a Master ofScience in Engineering (Mining Technology) from Helsinki Universityof Technology. He has started his professional career at Outokumpuin the 1980s and is currently responsible for Sandvik Group'sUnderground Hard Rock Mining and Underground Soft Rock Miningbusinesses as well as holding the position of Managing Director forSandvik Mining and Construction Oy in Finland. During his career Mr.Parvento has held a number of senior sales, marketing and managementpositions at Tamrock, Kuusakoski and Sandvik in Finland, and alsointernationally in Australia and Sweden.CEO Juha Rantanen: "I am very pleased to have Kari as our newcolleague at the Executive Committee.
