(Thomson Reuters ONE) - KESKO CORPORATION STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 14.12.2009 AT 09.00 1(2)The Kesko Group's sales from continuing operations in November 2009totalled ?689.7 million (excluding VAT), which is down by 4.3%compared with the previous year. In January-November the salestotalled ?7,801.7 million (excluding VAT), which is down by 12.6%.In the food trade, sales in November were ?306.0 million, an increaseof 2.2%. Sales to the K-food store chains were up by 6.2%.In the home and speciality goods trade, sales in November were ?144.1million, a decrease of 1.3%. The sales of home decoration productsdeveloped best. In home electronics and clothing, sales fell comparedto the previous year.In the building and home improvement trade, sales in November were?179.5 million, a decrease of 11.6%. Sales in Finland were down by9.9%, which is attributable to the decrease in B-to-B sales and inthe sales of agricultural supplies. In foreign countries, salesdecreased by 12.8% in terms of euros, and by 10.6% in terms of localcurrencies. In the Baltic countries, sales were down by 40.7%. InRussia, sales dropped by 21.6% in terms of euros, and by 3.1% interms of local currency.In the car and machinery trade, VV-Auto's sales in November were?45.6 million, down 0.7%. The sales performance was affected by thecar tax act which came into force in April, because of which car taxlevied on cars after 1 April 2009 is not included in sales figures.The passenger cars imported by VV-Auto accounted for 17.1% (17.6%) ofnew registrations. Konekesko's sales in November were ?29.0 million,down 30.1%. The total number ofselling days in January-November was three less than in the previousyear. The number of retail selling days in November was 29, which isone more than in the previous year.
