Veidekke to build new intersection in Stockholm
(Thomson Reuters ONE) - Veidekke Entreprenad AB, region Anläggning ÿst, has been awarded thecontract by Vägverket to build a new intersection at Rinkeby. Thecontract, with a value of SEK 319 million, is a part of Vägverket'swork on the E18, Stockholm's western approach road.The stretch between Hjulsta and Kista is currently prone to accidentsand the road's poor capacity leads to long queues in rush traffic. Asmany as 50,000 vehicles a day use certain sections of the road.Work on the new intersection at Rinkeby starts in January 2010 andwill be completed in 2013. The contract includes ground and bridgebuilding work and will take place on and next to the existing E18road and other roads in the construction area."We are very happy with the contract!
