University of Calgary: The critical need for pipelines for Alberta crude

The School of Public Policy calculates the benefits of pipelines to Canada

(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/14/11 -- In the wake of the failed application for the Keystone XL Pipeline to the Gulf Coast, there has been increased interest in alternate pipelines, perhaps to destinations in California and Asia. To date, however, the net benefit of these pipelines, including the proposed Keystone pipeline, has yet to be fully calculated.

The School of Public Policy at the University of Calgary has undertaken this research and will release a groundbreaking major study on the full benefits of various pipeline options in terms of profits, jobs and government revenue.
