Frankfurt am Main, 20 December 2011. Joyou AG, a leading branded bathroom
solution supplier in China, has been awarded the German red dot design
award and for the second time the China Innovative Design Award Kapok Prize
for two of its products.
One of Joyous flat-panel shower and water-heater units from the X-Time
series was honoured with the red dot award. The red dot product design
competition exists since 1955. Its award, the 'red dot', is an
internationally recognised quality seal.
The product design of the X-Time shower and water-heater unit was inspired
by the shape of slender mobile phones. The showerhead is hooked into
position in a manner that calls to mind the handset of an old-fashioned
telephone.
Also, one of Joyous faucets from the X-Time series won the China Innovative
Design Award Kapok Prize. This faucet is a touch control, intelligent
faucet which integrates both adjustable temperature and flow rate controls.
The company has a total of 60 in-house Design and Research staff, and has
nearly doubled its research and design budget in 2011.

2010, Joyou realised group revenues of EUR 246.6 million, an operating
profit (EBIT) of EUR 43.7 million and a net profit of EUR 33.2 million.
