MENA, International Regulators to Gather at 6th GCC Regulators' Summit in Oman

London, Dec. 28, 2011 - Thomson Reuters Governance, Risk & Compliance is pleased
to host the 6th GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) Regulators' Summit in Oman on
February 20-21, 2012, in association with Oman Centre for Corporate Governance,
Capital Market Authority. The summit will be held under the patronage of the
Minister of Commerce & Industry of Oman.
The Middle East and North Africa region (MENA) is undergoing a period of
significant regulatory change. The 6th GCC Regulators' Summit will provide the
ideal platform for regulators and financial professionals to meet and discuss
the most pressing regulatory issues facing the industry. Senior speakers have
been confirmed from the Oman Capital Market Authority, Central Bank of Bahrain,
Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority, Dubai Financial Services Authority,
EFSA (Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority), UAE Securities & Commodities
Authority, Banque Du Liban, Central Bank of Turkey, Central Bank of Jordan, OECD
(Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development), Transparency
International and ESMA (European Securities and Markets Authority), as well as
several others.
Abdullah Salem Al-Salmi, the executive vice president of the Capital Market
