The protel subsidiary in Vienna officially opened its doors for business on 28 August 2013. The founding is a reaction to the ongoing heavy demand from the Austrian market. According to Katja-Möller-Osthues, sales director of protel for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, the new Vienna subsidiary is the center for protel business-activities in Austria. With the new concept of direct local availability, the company is striving to strengthen its customer relations and expand its customer base.
The new daughter company is to play a central role for the continued expansion of business activities in the very important Austrian hotel market. "Austria is a very strong market with very committed hoteliers and solid reservation numbers", Möller-Osthues says. protel has been working with about 1,000 customers in Austria, who are already using the German provider of hotel management solutions. Möller-Osthues says, "We are certain that the protel Austria team will continue to promote our software's success in Austria.
In addition to sales, protel is also establishing new service capacities in the region in order to optimize its customer service. "Some of our most important customers are located in Austria", explains Möller-Osthues. "They expect customer service of the highest quality. Our Viennese office enables us to offer our customers prompt and personal customer service", she said.
