Business Gurus Laszlo Bock and George Anders Share the Inside Scoop at INFORUM

(firmenpresse) - SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/07/12 -- The Commonwealth Club's INFORUM will host a discussion on Thursday, Feb. 9 about Google's creative business model and unique hiring philosophy, led by two leaders in the world of work, Laszlo Bock, senior vice president of people operations at Google, and George Anders, author of "The Rare Find," in conversation with Brad Stone of Bloomberg Businessweek.

Named the best company to work for in 2012 by Fortune Magazine, Google's reputation for innovation, coupled with their talented workforce has served as the prototype for success for some of the Bay area's most admired companies. Bock and Anders will share perspective on the changing nature of work and tackle questions about how employers and employees alike can keep up in this dynamic industry. This case-study approach of recruitment myths and methods will allow companies and potential hires to explore how "The Google Way" can be applied to the greater business sector.

About the panel:

Laszlo Bock serves as senior vice president of people operations at Google Inc. He has previously held positions at General Electric Company, McKinsey & Company, and Hewitt Associates.

George Anders is a New York Times-bestselling author and a journalist with three decades of writing experience. He started his career at The Wall Street Journal, and has authored four widely-acclaimed books, including his most recent work, "The Rare Find: Spotting Exceptional Talent Before Anyone Else," which draws on more than two years of research to conclude how to keep up with the pack in America's hunt for greatness.
