System solution for the catering industry: save time and space – and a whole lot of hassle
Bizerba presents a POS solution for catering chains, bistros, staff restaurants, drive-in stores and fast-food outlets. It consists of the "K-flex" scales/checkout system as well as cash register software developed by the company Procom from Darmstadt. From taking orders using the cash register display or an Orderman system to printing kitchen checks and issuing split or whole-table bills, the system fulfils all of the requirements of the catering industry. With a freely configurable touch surface, the software allows the customer to design his own keypad layout and operating options for a large variety of applications.
The central unit, cash drawer, printer and operator and customer displays can be positioned separate from one another, wherever there is space. The system is designed according to open standards and can be expanded using other peripherals at any time, for example with waiter locks, magnet card readers or EC devices.
Manual slicers VS-12 CW
The precision slicer VS-12 CW has integrated scales, allowing it to cut sausage and meat products, firm vegetables and bread to the exact gram.
Thanks to its non-stick, easy-slide qualities, fatty deposits can be removed from the new Ceraclean surface completely and easily.
The BS 38
The precision slicer BS 38 cuts any long or round loaf of bread with a diameter of up to 30 centimetres into halves, quarters or individual slices. It can cut both warm, soft bread and hard, thick brown and wholegrain bread. It can even cut whole nuts, meaning that they are not pressed through the bread. "The slicing size can be regulated in real time during slicing", explains Ralf Steinhilber, Director of Food Processing Market and Technology. He adds that there are three pre-set buttons to enable users to change quickly between the most common slicing sizes.
"In the case of slicers with grates", continues Steinhilber, "you are forced to use oil. Unfortunately, oil is a perfect breeding ground for bacteria. If germs transfer to the bread, it will begin to go mouldy long before its use-by date". The BS 38 works completely oil-free, removing this breeding ground for mould etc.
Meat and bone saw FK 23
For butchers and operators of preparation areas and commercial kitchens, the FK 23 meat and bone saw is perfect for cutting up and portioning fresh and frozen meat, sections of leg and tubular bones.
The large, open design of the table saw allows for quick and easy cleaning. The band and wheel scraper system can be dismantled easily; the saw band can be removed and inserted quickly using a pivoted lever.
Perfect for salads, pan-fried dishes etc.: the steaker and strip cutter S111 plus
There are as many uses for the steaker and strip cutter "S111 plus" as there are cutting inserts: operators can use strip cutter insert S 021 to create salads using strips of sausage, meat or cheese and to slice kebab meat, cucumbers, mushrooms, fruit or onions.
With the tenderiser insert S 011, meat for roasting can become roast meat in no time. The closed, smooth surfaces make it possible to clean the S111 quickly; in addition, thanks to a wide base, the device is safe from tipping.
