Swinerton Builders Colorado Receives Blue Level AGC/OSHA CHASE Partnership Status
(firmenpresse) - DENVER, CO -- (Marketwire) -- 03/05/12 -- has become a Blue Level participant in the AGC/OSHA CHASE partnership, which recognizes contractors who demonstrate the highest safety standards and practices used in the industry.
The goal of the partnership between the Associated General Contractors of America and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is to improve workplace safety among contractors and reduce illnesses, injuries and fatalities on construction sites.
The program's Blue level status is the highest a contractor can achieve. To qualify, applicants must meet a number of requirements, including:
Implement a comprehensive written safety and health program
Provide evidence of employee training and involvement in all levels of the safety program
Implement and maintain a substance abuse program
Maintain a total case injury/illness incidence rate that is 10 percent less than the national rate for the company's industry
In return for committing to such high safety standards, members of the AGC/OSHA CHASE Partnership receive certain incentives in exchange for their increased commitment to safety. Swinerton, for example, will not receive another programmed inspection for the next year in the state of Colorado thanks to its participation in the program.
