John M. Darch of Doi Chaang Coffee Travels to Thailand With Prime Minister Stephen Harper to Help Promote Free Trade Between Canada and Thailand

(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/28/12 -- Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Ministers Baird and Fast went to Thailand on an official visit to commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Canada and Thailand. John M. Darch, the chairman and co-founder of Doi Chaang Coffee, was one of three delegates invited to accompany the Prime Minister on his trip. During the two day event John M. Darch attended the Welcoming Ceremony at Government House in Bangkok where Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra greeted Prime Minister Stephen Harper. John M. Darch also participated in a round table meeting with Prime Minister Harper, Ministers Baird and Fast, and Thai CEO's from the business community. At this meeting the current and projected state of the Thai economy and prospects for future bilateral investment and trade were discussed. John M. Darch was honoured to be an active participant on this historic occasion and welcomed the news that Canada and Thailand launched exploratory talks towards a free trade agreement.
