Upclique Receives Over $350,000 in Funding to Simplify College Search Online

Online Networking Site for High School Students, Parents, Counselors and Administrators Poised to Change College Admissions and Recruiting; Earns Endorsement From National Catholic College Admission Association

The funding will enable Upclique to continue building out its network and expand site features that connect students with their perfect school, and guide them along the search process. Founded in 2011, the company today also announced an endorsement from the National Catholic College Admission Association (National CCAA), a group of more than 200 colleges across the country, which will use Upclique as the centerpiece of its recruiting efforts.

Upclique reinvents the college search process by helping students, counselors and academic institutions find and engage with one another for free online. The site lets students search and build a list of potential fits based on criteria like major, location, and campus life, and gives school counselors one central place to approve grades, and build relationships with colleges for all the students under their guidance. College recruiters can in turn search for students who fit what they are looking for, whether through grades, athletics, extracurricular activities, interests or college preferences, and then send a connection request directly to those students to start the dialogue.





"College recruiting is big business, and it's one of the contributing factors driving tuition prices through the roof. The problem? Colleges still market themselves like they did 20 years ago, with glossy brochures, expensive mailing lists -- all this despite the new technologies out here," added Benton. "Year after year, colleges spend millions on third party companies to recruit -- an average $2,450 per student."

To streamline its own efforts, the National CCAA has signed on with Upclique to help with recruiting across its entire network of colleges and high schools in the US.
