Automatica: Customized solutions from Montech
At Automatica 2012 in Munich, Montech AG is presenting customized solutions based on their portfolio of belt conveyors and automation components.
Customized application with a transfer system combined with a vacuum conveyor by Montech(firmenpresse) - At Automatica in Munich, Montech AG (Booth 111 in Hall A2) is presenting customized solutions based on their portfolio of belt conveyors and automation components. Among several solutions, the Swiss manufacturer of transport systems is showing an application with a transfer system combined with a vacuum conveyor to carry and sort CDs: after sorting the vacuum conveyor transfers CDs, then a closed loop transfer system carries away the CD stack.
“It’s an endless working cycle, including picking, transport and placing operations, without unproductive return strokes, designed to optimize the sorting process,” explains Gianluca Aloisi, Sales Manager, Montech AG. The vacuum conveyor runs at a speed of five meters per second, which helps increase process productivity.
At Automatica 2012, Montech is also featuring an application with belt conveyors, lifting units and removal modules for work pieces extraction. “This solution shows one of many possible combinations using our products. And it proves how easy it is to build custom solutions with our modular system,” Aloisi says.
Handling systems made easy
Also in the area of automation components, the modular concept enables to assemble parts handling systems at affordable costs. In their booth, Montech will also exhibit lifting axes and a combination of electric and pneumatic actuators.
The lifting axes achieve speeds up to 2 m/sec thanks to their construction. The open flange allows users to choose their favorite drive system.
Aloisi: “Based on the profile system Quick-Set by Montech, you can quickly build customized systems with a combination of electric and pneumatic actuators.”
The presented example at the exhibition is a so called “Roboterkopf” with a parallel handling unit that can manipulate work pieces in two positions simultaneously.
Quick-Set profile system and protection devices
The Swiss manufacturers is also presenting Quick-Set, a universal modular system of profiles designed to build solid structures thanks to accurate and stable connections. The profile system offers compatibility and flexibility across several products. Dovetail joints provide for an accurate connection between different elements, ensuing high load capacity and vibration resistance.
The Quick-Set protection devices stand out for their excellent sliding properties: raising and lowering of the movable elements requires only a minimum force, and they can stop in any position. The synchronous run of the crossbeams is compounded via a synchronous shaft.
