Media Advisory: Governor General to Celebrate National Volunteer Week

(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 04/13/12 -- His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will participate in a wide variety of events to highlight National Volunteer Week, from April 15 to 21, 2012.

"During National Volunteer Week, I will be visiting and speaking with volunteers about how we can innovate and adapt to the changing needs of our communities, reinforcing how vital giving is in our everyday lives, and discovering what drives us to volunteer and what prevents us from doing so," said the Governor General. "It is also with pride that I will present, for the first time during my mandate, the Caring Canadian Awards."
