Fab.com Is on a Winning Streak and Ready to Share Their Secret Sauce

(firmenpresse) - SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 06/11/12 -- INFORUM will host , CEO and Founder of Fab.com, in conversation with , founder of PandoDaily, to explore Fab.com's successful business model that is hailed to be "the next wave of ecommerce" by Fast Company.

Fab.com is a design-focused retailer combined with innovative social commerce features. The site features daily sales and design inspirations from everyday users and established chandlers alike. Fab's templates are colorful, clutter-free, and overall fresh -- making it no wonder that users can't seem to get enough of this mecca for social shopping. Beyond being easy on the eyes, Fab's top dogs have mastered the art of incorporating social media. Their Live Feed allows users to keep tabs on what their fellow Fab fiends are buying, liking, tweeting, and sharing. It's a virtual shop-til-you-drop experience with immediate feedback from your peers.

Having just partnered with Madonna and with membership soaring to 4.8 million users, Fab's chief executive officer, Jason Goldberg, and chief creative officer, Brad Shellhammer, are clearly on a roll and don't appear to be closing up shop anytime soon -- but like most start-ups, they found success only after troubleshooting.

Fab.com started as Fabulis.com, a gay social network that was, by all accounts, a flop. Recognizing the signs of mediocrity early on, Goldberg and Shellhammer were able to dynamically change course, but with considerable grace. On Fab.com's first day -- June 9th, 2011 -- Fab launched at 175,000 users and generated $60,000 in sales.

Strategies like social media, appealing web design and convenient commerce seem to be rampant -- but Fab has somehow constructed a niche unrivaled by their competitors, who are seemingly using the same tactics -- so what makes Fab.com so fabulous? On Thursday night at The Commonwealth Club, attendees will have a chance to hear insight straight from the brainchild himself. Goldberg will dish on measuring the impact of social marketing and how Fab acts on it in real time -- turning clicks and likes into dollar signs. Beyond the crucial new age tools that have been key to Fab's meteoric rise, they've also managed to focus on the age-old value of customer service. Entrepreneurs, e-shoppers, and tech pundits alike will not want to miss out as Goldberg delves into Fab's magical formula with INFORUM at The Commonwealth Club.

Join us to tap in on the entrepreneurial instincts of Renaissance man Jason Goldberg. Following the conversation get your social shopping on at the reception with some Fab-like commerce entertainment.
