(Kuala Lumpur, 9 March 2010) His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon and her
Royal Highness Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway today presented the awards
to the winning teams of the Deep Green Challenge for Change competition in
Malaysia.

The Deep Green Challenge for Change competition is organised by the Malaysian
mobile operator DiGi, a part of the Telenor Group. The aim is to inspire young
Malaysian students to discover new, meaningful and innovative renewable energy
solutions. Participants from eight Malaysian Universities submitted their
contributions to the competition.

"We are grateful and honored that Their Royal Highnesses presented the awards to
the winning teams. As a global mobile operator it is important for the Telenor
Group to identify viable solutions to the climate challenge. Addressing global
warming is an integrated part of our business strategy," said Sigve Brekke,
Executive Vice President of Telenor Group and Head of Telenor's Asian
Operations. "It is rewarding to experience the high quality of the projects
presented by young inspired Malaysians in this competition. As the new
low-carbon society is starting to emerge, the knowledge these students have
acquired will be a valuable contribution to the growth of the Malaysian green
industry."

The winning teams were awarded approximately USD 20 000 in prizes and will have
the opportunity to intern with DiGi.
